"I've been using the Sunset Dimmer in my 7 month old daughter's room for a couple of weeks now. Our pediatrician told us early on how important a regular bedtime routine is when establishing sleep habits with an infant. The 30 minutes of light that the Sunset Dimmer provides is a perfect compliment to that routine. As we change her into pajamas, read a couple of stories, and quietly wind down from the day's activities, the light in her room is slowly and steadily dimming.
It is very subtle, but incredibly calming and relaxing. By the time I lay her down in the crib it is almost completely dark and she usually will drift right off to sleep. And, most of the time, I feel ready to do the same! I love my Sunset Dimmer and am going to suggest it to families that have children with sleep issues" Elyssa - Cupertino, CA

Baby sleeping problem! help?
I have a 4 month old baby. Shes having problem sleeping lately which is I can't figured out why. i make sure shes not hungry, or having wet diapers but she can't. she use pacifier but we stop it cause it tearing up her cheeks cause she got sensitive skin. She's breastfeeing. dont know if its because we just move to new home for last couple of days. Please help me to make her settle to sleep without crying for almost 2 hours. Keep coming ur advice! make her relax before going to bed.
thanks for all ur answers.l'll try to massage her gums..
Give her a bath and feed her until fall asleep.
I'm gonna try the soothies pacifier too in that way its easy for her to go to sleep. She's not been like this before just this couple of days..It started when we decided not to give her a pacifier. Thanks for the advice it works!
Routine, routine, routine. It doesn't matter that you've moved house it's the fact that every mother needs a routine and the baby needs it too. At night, you need a routine that happens just before you need to go to bed. That is, bathing at say 8 (let her spend as much time in the bath as the feeling of water makes baby comfortable), feed time at nine then change her and it's into bed for her.
When you are breast feeding it's very hard to know whether your daughter is getting enough milk and perhaps you should try topping up her feeds with formula. You can't over feed her as she'll just poo it out and when she's satisified she'll fall asleep. Most likely with the bottle in her mouth. Don't stop breast feeding as it's the best thing for her but she may not be settling because she's still hungry.
Don't also forget to give her 50mls of water a day so she's not uncomfortable. I hope this helps you.
