The basic difference between us human beings & animals is that there is a proper reason, a definite purpose behind all our actions - be it Eating, Sleeping, Mating or Fighting !

No, but I think many human beings are fooled into thinking so.
I'd say the basic difference is that we are able to CREATE "reasons" for our actions, even though there often really aren't any.
