Have you ever used a medication to fall asleep? And do you know the problems that can occur from misuse?
This is just a question to see how many people have use any OTC (over the counter) drugs to deal with a sleeping problem. I am not just talking about the sleep aids you can pick up but things like cold medicines and things like that. And if you know the risks involved in misusing those medications?
if you over dose your heart rate could get dangerously low and you could die

"I've been using the Sunset Dimmer in my 7 month old daughter's room for a couple of weeks now. Our pediatrician told us early on how important a regular bedtime routine is when establishing sleep habits with an infant. The 30 minutes of light that the Sunset Dimmer provides is a perfect compliment to that routine. As we change her into pajamas, read a couple of stories, and quietly wind down from the day's activities, the light in her room is slowly and steadily dimming.
It is very subtle, but incredibly calming and relaxing. By the time I lay her down in the crib it is almost completely dark and she usually will drift right off to sleep. And, most of the time, I feel ready to do the same! I love my Sunset Dimmer and am going to suggest it to families that have children with sleep issues" Elyssa - Cupertino, CA

what does your baby sleep in when you travel away from home?
i already asked but am curious what you guys have the baby sleep in when he is away from home. i am going to our family's condo with my 8 month old for a few days. am bringing pack and play but he sleeps horribly in it.
We use a play pen as well and place some extra blankets in it (we use it in our camper actually). It has worked really well, but does take a few days for the babe to readjust to it.

I'm hot with no fever, consistantly.?
i am hot day in and day out breaking out in sweats, with no fever. i am way too young for menopause and last time i had a physical (last month) i was functioning properly (hormonal wise). i am on constsant perscription medication for bi-polar disorder but ive been on them for quite awhile, and feeling warm is not a side effect. i am really out of options, i have no idea whats wrong. its 10 below in toronto, and im sleeping with my windows open in my apartment just to be comfortable enough to sleep. it's becoming quite a chore these days. any suggestions appreciated.
yes i have been tested for t.b (had to for work).... i had a full physical and blood panel done when i changed doctors a couple months back, at first he did think it was a thyroid problem, but all tests came back completely normal. he tested me for diabetes and also negative. maybe i am just hot
there can be a number of underlying cause and one that springs readily to mind is Thyrotoxicosis or hyperthyroidism. However, the only way to be sure is to go to your doctor who would take a blood test to see what your thyroid function is. Additionally, there ould e the issue of early menopause, again a blood test could look at this. I suggest nest time youare describing symptoms realting to this consider the foollowing questions, Have u been losing weight although having an increase appetite, Any change in the texture of the skin or presentation such as being oily or dry as well as any enlargement in the neck, any frequent urination especially at night, what about your menses, is it non-existent, are u feeling anxious, upset, changes in mood, feeling thirsty all the time, any palpitations, can u feel ur heart beating or racing, any changes in your eyes, such as lid lag, not being able to close ur eyes, inability to sleep at night, feeling excessively tired.
IF you answer yes to any or all of the above please see your doctor. This is important. Hope everything works out well.
